It is late at night and Soul is sneaking out of a fancy gathering and he came across the room that his father forbade him from entering, so naturally thats exactly what he did. he lockpicked his way into the room. This is also where he saw the axe with the Volianite stone. the Nyrote stone started speaking with Soul (a man looking like King Rhoan). It told him of the profecy that the monster would soon return, and that he was the one who needed to gather the other three nyrote stones and their heroes to try and defeat Kallepros. The stone said to go somewhat east, but he got caught sneaking around by Hemlocke and was placed under house arrest. Soul did a lot of thinking of his interaction with the stone, and he decides to reseach the old times. His brother Fern brings him the books for his reseach. After a couple weeks, he decides to sneak out during another event causing there to be less guards. Because of this he goes back to the now guarded room, and tells them that the guards are needed elsewhere. Once they are gone, he enters and steals the stone and runs away.
